Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1

Service Manager, TCP Services

AERAsec Network Services and Security GmbH

Platform:  GUI under Microsoft Windows
Product: Check Point Next Generation FP2
Problem: When defining a new TCP-Service with Advanced options, there is a possibility to select a Protocol Type. If one has been selected, no way back to "no protocol" or an empty field is possible.
Workaround/Fix:

At the moment, there is only the possibility to select none instead of the empty field - and this will not be accepted in all cases.
So be very careful with selecting a Protocol Type. In extreme cases, will have to delete and re-define the service - and to put it into every rulebase, where it has been used...
